The Charlie Rose Show Examines Integrative Medicine

On Friday, March 28, 2008, Christy Mack (President, The Bravewell Collaborative), Harvey Fineberg, MD (President, Institute of Medicine at the National Academies) and Ralph Synderman, MD (Chancellor Emeritus, Duke University) were interviewed by Charlie Rose on his PBS television talk show, The Charlie Rose Show.  The topic of conversation was integrative medicine.  The discussion explored the problems inherent in our failing health care system and how the use of integrative medicine can not only improve the health of the American public, but also reduce care-related costs.  Dr. Fineberg addressed why the Institute of Medicine, the nation's top advisor on biomedical science, medicine and health, has a growing interest in integrative medicine.
