About Our Center

The Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at UCSF is working to transform healthcare by conducting rigorous research on the medical outcomes of complementary and alternative healing practices; educating medical students, health professionals and the public about these practices; and creating new models of clinical care.

Our approach to health care is one that values the biological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of health and wellness.  We provide care for people with chronic pain (including back pain), cancer, women's health concerns, and medically complex conditions. We also serve people who simply want to optimize their health.
