About our Center

Duke Integrative Medicine is dedicated to helping you achieve your highest potential for wellness, regardless of your current state of health. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to health care with attention to the interrelationship between mind, body, spirit and community in healing. We believe that the human mind and body have essential capacities for self-repair that can be supported and enhanced by appropriate conventional as well as complementary and alternative (CAM) therapies.

Services Offered

The Clinic

We are a team of board-certified physicians, and healthcare providers with expertise in fields such as internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, occupational medicine and pain management. We work collaboratively with numerous medical professionals and expert CAM practitioners available at Duke University Health System as well as in the surrounding community.

Optimal Vitality for Life

The ultimate health and well-being vacation; revitalizing your heart, mind, body and spirit at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts!

Intensive Group Programs

Duke Integrative Medicine is pleased to offer group programs that can be tailored to your professional or personal group's specific needs. These programs are available for groups of 10 to 30 people at Duke or 15 to 50 people at another location. Group sessions include:

  • Optimal Vitality for Life: Designing a Personal Health Plan (PHP)
  • Mastering Stress
  • Exploring the Power of the Midlife Journey for Women
  • Rebalancing Your Life for Greater Health and Vitality

Health Coaching

Health coaching effectively motivates behavior change through a structured, supportive partnership between the participant and coach. The coach helps facilitate insights and clarity through inquiry and personal discovery.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is an important element in Mind-Body Medicine. It is a complement, not a substitute, for whatever medical treatments a person may be receiving. Participants in the Stress Reduction Program learn to develop specific skills for paying attention and for deep relaxation, and to apply these in everyday situations.

Education

We offer a free lecture series as well as other educational opportunities.
