Judy Cuneo, MD is an
Obstetrician Gynecologist and a Bravewell Fellow in Integrative Medicine at the
UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. She completed her two-year advance
training in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative
Medicine in December 2012. Dr. Cuneo offers a consultative Integrative
Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic at the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine
to promote and enhance optimal health throughout the reproductive cycle,
primarily in the areas of preconception, pregnancy, childbirth and the
postpartum transition. Using nutrition, exercise, mind-body applications
including mindfulness-based childbirth preparation, botanical medicine and
other integrative medicine modalities, Dr. Cuneo creates individualized
treatment plans that safely integrate complementary and alternative approaches
with conventional maternity care.
Dr. Cuneo received her MD from Tulane University in New Orleans,
LA and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UC Davis
Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. She is board certified by the American Board
of OBGYN and a Fellow of the American Congress of OBGYN. She currently
practices and teaches inpatient OBGYN at Highland General Hospital, Alameda
County Medical Center. Dr. Cuneo has been caring for pregnant women and their
families for over fifteen years.
In addition to her consultative and inpatient practices, Dr. Cuneo teaches the Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP) program at the Osher Center. In 2007 she began her MBCP instructor training with MBCP founder Nancy Bardacke, CNM and has since used a mindfulness-based approach in both her clinical practice and for the pregnancies and births of her three children. Dr. Cuneo is active in mindful parenting and living programs around the San Francisco Bay Area.
