is a graduate of Brown University and the New
York University School of Medicine. She
completed an Internal Medicine residency at Harlem Hospital Center and
Hematology-Oncology fellowship at Columbia University College of Physicians and
Surgeons. Since completing her
fellowship in 1989, she has practiced in Raleigh,
NC, currently as an assistant professor
with Duke University School of Medicine at Duke Raleigh Hospital.
interest in integrative medicine has been developing over the course of several
years as she has taken courses in medical hypnotherapy, mindfulness based
stress reduction, and nutrition and applied this knowledge to the care of
people with cancer. She is looking forward
to developing a deeper knowledge of the field and making integrative health
care more accessible and affordable for all of us.
